The fifth generation of 20 Fellows within the European Fund for the Balkans “Fellowship Programme for Young Government Officials from the Western Balkans: Supporting Excellence and Leadership in Governance” 2012/2013 has been selected. The jury had a difficult assignment to choose the best candidates from over the 100 applicants from the region.
The final selection was conducted through the process of interviewing the 40 shortlisted candidates in Belgrade and Skopje. At the end the best 20 among them fulfilled all the conditions for getting the scholarship and participating in the three-month Fellowship programme for the next 2012/2013 cycle in institutions in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
Following the already established tradition of the previous years to include a balanced number of government representatives from the ministries from each country, this year list is also consist of different profiles of highly qualified young professionals from the Western Balkans.
The European Fund for the Balkans would like to thank all applicants for their shown interest and enthusiasm about the fifth edition of the programme and encourage all the interested candidates to apply again next year for the 2013/2014 cycle of the Programme.
