The first joint activity “National Identities, Minority Rights and EU Integration” in the framework of Southeast Europe and the EU – Leadership Development Programme will take place in Skopje on the 4th of December 2009.
The event consists of two parts: a panel discussion and a workshop, and is entitled “EU – Umbrella of Different Nationalities”. Both activities will take place in the EU Info Centre, Delegation of the European Commission in Skopje.
This event is organized by a group of six young people, participants of the LDP, from Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo and Turkey. The main aim of the event is raising awareness about different national identities and minority rights in the participating countries. The target group for this discussion is young people (18-25 years old) from the region.
The main aim of the first part of the panel discussion is to give input to the participants about the topic and space to discuss about it. The second part includes interactive workshops, work in small groups and presentations.
Small brochure, which will contain articles written by the participants and lecturers, will be published as an output from the project. The organizers will distribute the brochure after the event in their respective countries.
