European Fund for the Balkans in partnership with Centre for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe are happy to announce ‘The Vicinities’, 5 policy debates in form of TV shows recorded in Belgrade, to be broadcasted on regional TV’s from April 2012. Informed policy debates on most urging and complex issues are rarity in the Western Balkans. In order to create a platform for healthy debate and exchange of experiences in the process of policy development, this initiative aims to bring together a variety of policy experts and analysts, representatives of the civil society as well as of the government, from throughout the region and enable their interaction in a constructive and informed policy debate. Issues like stereotypes, how to survive – economic crisis, media, generations of 1971 and 1991 across the region and the great powers and us are topics for this initial set of 5 debates hosted by the members of EFB Community Network with 2 prominent journalists from the region on Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language. TV debates that are filming throughout March and April, will be presented on regional TV broadcasters:TV Vijesti-Podgorica, RT RS Banja Luka, BH TV- Sarajevo, ALSAT-M- Skopje, Kapital Network- Zagreb, Studio B-Belgrade and RT Vranje.
